SCE Ph.D. student MD. Nahid Hossain recently received funding for his research, “Radiation Hardened Multilayer Graphene Nanoribbon Flash Memory”. His project is funded by a $7000 UMKC School of Graduate Studies (SGS) Research Grant.
Nahid has been working under Dr. Masud Chowdhury, Associate Professor at the UMKC School of Computing and Engineering.
Nahid’s Ph.D. research breaks new ground in the study of nanometer scale computing and emerging nanotechnologies. He is currently working on the next generation integrated circuits and nano-devices based on graphene nanotechnology.
Nahid is also working on 3D integrated circuit (IC) design and nanotechnology, both of which are expected to revolutionize nearly all micro and nano-electronic devices. Last year, his research on graphene-based solutions for 3D integrated circuits was selected for the Best Paper Award in the Community of Scholars Symposium, organized by the Interdisciplinary Doctoral Student Council of UMKC.
